Kathleen Mackay, RMT, CEMT, CST, CCP, ACM

Kathleen graduated with honours in 2000 in Ontario from a 2200hr. massage therapy diploma program. As a former member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta, she continues to enjoy her practice as a Registered Massage Therapist in St. Albert, and working on horses in the surrounding Parkland and Sturgeon Counties.

In 2009, Kathleen studied Equine Massage Therapy and graduated as a Certified Equine Massage Therapist with honours. Along with massage therapy, Kathleen also uses CranioSacral Therapy, Sound/Vibration Therapy, Meridian & Acupressure Massage, Crystal Therapy, Myofascial Release and Bowen Techniques as part of the massage therapy treatments for horses. An avid rider for as long as she can remember, Kathleen has experience riding in the disciplines of dressage, x-country jumping, show jumping and most recently reining.

Prior to finding her passion for massage therapy, Kathleen used her diploma from the University of Waterloo in Honours Recreation and Leisure Studies to teach therapeutic riding to people with special needs, as well as creating and running recreation programs for children of all ages as well as moms and tots.

Due to Kathleen’s training, her receipts are accepted by all insurance companies, and she direct- bills to Blue Cross and many other health insurance providers with Telus Health.

Kathleen specializes in CranioSacral Therapy, Prenatal Massage, Fertility Massage, Meridian & Acupressure Massage, Healing Stone Massage with Sound Healing, Crystal Therapy, Usui & Violet Flame Reiki, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Mindful Meditation Massage Therapy as well as treatments for: PTSD, MVAs, post-injury rehabilitation, low back pain, neck and shoulder tension and many other conditions.
